Unlock Mining Potential as a Senior Exploration Geologist

29Metals Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Exploration Geologist to drive the continued exploration and management of leases at our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a talented professional to lead and mentor the Exploration team, generate and update 3D geological models, plan and manage drilling programs, and supervise surface-based drilling activities.
About the OpportunityIn this role, you will report to the Geology Manager and work on an 8:6 roster. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading and mentoring the Exploration team to foster a collaborative and high-standard work environment.
- Generating and updating 3D geological models to identify and prioritize prospective drilling targets.
- Planning, designing, and managing underground delineation, extensional, and near-mine drilling programs.
- Supervising all surface-based drilling activities, conducting drill core logging, and performing sample analysis.
- Managing project budgets, analyzing cost performance, and reporting results to ensure financial accountability.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the Exploration team to enhance operational efficiency and data integrity.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in exploration geology, including previous supervisory and team management experience.
- A tertiary qualification in geology or a related discipline, as well as relevant professional industry membership.
- Expertise in near-mine / brownfields exploration.
- Well-versed in planning, implementing, and supervising drilling programs, including deep directional drilling (wedging, navi cuts etc.).
- Experience in using mining software, such as Micromine, Leapfrog, MapInfo, Vulcan, or Geobank.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence (manual).
