About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Track Engineer to join our team at Charterhouse. As a Senior Track Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering rail projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to evaluate project requirements and develop functional specifications.
  • Work with program managers and planners on preliminary and detailed scoping, costing, and planning for projects.
  • Assist program managers in preparing project documentation, including safety plans, environmental plans, IWP, ITP, and quality plans.
  • Set up project controls for cost and progress reporting.
  • Coordinate risk management workshops and rail safety reviews.
  • Analyse drawings and design documentation for technical accuracy and suitability.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure assessment of safety in design and constructability reviews.
  • Participate in tender evaluation, ensuring technical merits are carefully assessed.
  • Monitor and report project progress against the project plan.
  • Coordinate handover process for completed works and manage defects.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or equivalent related industry experience.
  • Substantial experience in project delivery and/or engineering works, preferably in a rail environment.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Substantial experience in providing engineering advice and support, including functional specification development and design coordination.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management support, such as developing estimates, preparing schedules, and managing budgets.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing relevant standards, such as Australian Engineering and Technical standards.
  • Demonstrated mentoring experience providing technical leadership and guidance to colleagues.
