**About the Role**

The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for leading the financial functions of Advanced Design Technology Pty Ltd, ensuring the effective management of financial operations and providing strategic advice to the ADT Leadership team and Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • **Financial Management**: Oversee the company's financial, accounting, operating, and reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • **Payroll Management**: Manage and oversee the company's payroll functions, ensuring timely and accurate payment of employees.
  • **Budgeting and Forecasting**: Coordinate the development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting for these budgets, to ensure the company's financial goals are met.
  • **Financial Advice**: Provide specialist strategic advice and guidance on major commitments, projects, and other complex financial management issues to the Managing Director and ADT Leadership Team.
  • **Financial Risk Management**: Identify and mitigate financial risks, providing recommendations to the Managing Director and ADT Leadership Team to ensure the company's financial stability.
  • **Financial Reporting**: Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to the Managing Director and ADT Leadership Team to inform business decisions.
  • **Stakeholder Management**: Maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
  • **Leadership and Culture**: Lead a culture of innovation, driving growth and maturity within the organization, and supporting the development of employees to achieve their full potential.

Requirements

  • **Leadership and Management**: High-level leadership and management skills, including intellectual leadership, and superior people management skills, including supporting learning and capability development in a complex and fast-paced organization.
  • **Stakeholder Management**: Superior stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, including the ability to represent and negotiate on behalf of the organization.
  • **Financial Expertise**: Demonstrated ability to establish processes and think strategically in a rapidly maturing organization, with an outstanding track record in leading and delivering high-quality financial advice in a complex and sensitive environment.
  • **Business Acumen**: Possess a business-focused mindset and be able to deliver under pressure to meet tight timeframes and manage competing priorities, responding quickly and flexibly to change.
  • **Qualifications**: CA, CPA, or tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, plus extensive accounting experience at the senior level.
