Job Title: Aps5 Community

The Aps5 Community role requires an individual with lived experience of mental health issues and Australian Defence Force (ADF) service, or a partner/carer of a current or ex-ADF member.

About the Role:

  • Model behaviours promoting recovery and wellness for community education and consumer engagement
  • Provide personalised support services to customers and their families through strength-based assessments and plans, collaboration, advocacy, and referral
  • Work systemically with stakeholders to influence a recovery approach to service delivery for vulnerable customers, communities, and families
  • Co-facilitate group programs for service consumers and providers
  • Participate in program evaluation, research, and project management activities
  • Undertake relevant training and professional development, including supervision, case conferencing, and case review meetings
  • Attend internal and external meetings, sharing knowledge gained from lived experience and recovery
  • Work cooperatively as a member of the Care Coordination team

Requirements:

  • Lived experience of mental health issues and ADF service, or a partner/carer of a current serving or ex-ADF member
  • Australian Citizenship
  • Eligibility for a Working with Children Check and a current driver's licence
  • Desirable skills include case work and/or experience supporting veterans and their family members
  • A tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in mental health is desirable
