Medication Specialist

The Pharmacy Department manages all medications across the hospital, including preparation and supply of inpatient medication on wards, and prescription and dispensary services for patients visiting the hospital.
ResponsibilitiesThe Pharmacist will function as part of a team and is responsible for providing contemporary clinical pharmacy services to facilities within the Rockhampton Hospital campus and other facilities throughout Central Queensland. They will participate in Quality Use of Medicines initiatives and demonstrate high-level knowledge, skill, and expertise through experience, professional development, post-graduate education or other formal qualifications.
Demonstrated level of knowledge, expertise and skill in pharmacy practice ranging from base level to advanced, depending on years of experience.
Requirements- Tertiary degree qualification in pharmacy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a pharmacist in Australia (or eligible for registration).
- Ability to work effectively as a member of the team and adapt to change.
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills with patients/clients and their families, and all members of the interdisciplinary team.
