Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Fitter to join our team at 2XM Recruit, working on electrical mechanical equipment and units supplying to the Australian Defense Force (Naval Vessels). This workshop-based role requires a qualified tradesperson with a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical electrical equipment for naval applications.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and components.
  • Perform electrical wiring of PLCS and electrical units.
  • Perform mechanical assembly of units.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and industry standards throughout all tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements
  • Trade qualification, Certificate III in Electrical Fitting, Electrotechnology or a related field.
  • Valid "A" Grade Electrical License.
  • Australian Citizenship is mandatory.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $45-$50 per hour plus penalties. The role is casual, lasting 3-6 months with opportunity for permanent position. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:06 pm, with 38 hours worked per week. The job is based in Paco Vale location.
