About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Performance Analyst to join our team at the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO). As a Performance Analyst, you will play a critical role in evaluating and reporting on the performance of government agencies, providing assurance to Parliament and the public sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for improvement in government programs and services
  • Develop and implement audit work plans to achieve audit objectives and impact
  • Prepare high-quality reports and working papers, written in a clear and concise manner
  • Present findings and evidence to audit executives and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • Experience in gathering and analysing data, with a strong understanding of data searching tools and techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and learning attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and critical reasoning skills, with the ability to draw conclusions from evidence
Desirable Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as public administration, policy analysis, or accounting, are highly desirable. Experience in audit or evaluation is also highly desirable.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the baseline level with the ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 clearance.
