About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at Downtownvet. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services.
Key Responsibilities- Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients and fellow veterinary care team members using excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Diagnostic Testing: Administer and analyze diagnostic tests, utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Surgical Assistance: Assist veterinarians with surgical and therapeutic procedures, adhering to aseptic standards and protocols.
- Anesthesia and Analgesia: Administer and monitor anesthesia and analgesia in accordance with veterinary scope of practice and provincial laws.
- Veterinary Nursing Care: Provide exceptional veterinary nursing care in a professional and ethical manner, synthesizing veterinary theory, principles, and concepts.
- Medical Records: Document and maintain accurate veterinary medical records, following regulated procedures and standards.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain state-of-the-art veterinary medical equipment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Diagnostic Imaging: Execute and evaluate quality diagnostic images, utilizing knowledge of theory, principles, and concepts.
- Dental Procedures: Perform dental procedures in compliance with professional veterinary industry standards.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an appropriate inventory of medical supplies, adhering to veterinary office inventory control procedures.
- Team Collaboration: Maintain a collaborative work environment and assist other staff members as required.
