TAFE Teacher Job Opportunity

Victoria University is seeking experienced TAFE Teachers to join its Community Services team. As a TAFE Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality training and assessment across various units.

The successful candidate will work closely with fellow Teachers and Senior Educators to provide the best learning experience for students. They will contribute to the continuous improvement of learning resources and methodologies.

About the Role
  • Planning, preparing, and delivering student performance and learning activities according to departmental guidelines
  • Fostering a respectful working environment for all students and staff
  • Establishing and maintaining a positive learning environment and delivering lessons as per departmental plans
  • Monitoring student progression and attendance throughout the learning journey for the unit
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the course by participating in the design, development, and validation of its training and assessment resources
  • Maintaining accurate course and student records according to organisational requirements
About You
  • You must hold a Training and Assessment qualification: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122); or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) with Address Adult Language, Literacy, and Numeracy Skills (TAELLN411 or TAELLN401); and Design and Develop Assessment Tools (TAEASS502, TAEASS502A, or TAEASS502B)
  • Hold a relevant vocational/industry qualification at the level of the courses or above and have teaching experience either in a TAFE or an RTO
  • You must hold a valid E Class (employee) Working with children Check to be able to undertake this role.
  • Your great communication skills will be a key asset and used daily to teach our students, and you will need to have a willingness to continually learn and develop as a professional trainer and assessor.
