We are seeking a skilled Cable Repair Technician to join our team at 11 Recruitment. As a Cable Repair Technician, you will be responsible for repairing, testing, and fitting accessories for various size and type of electric cables used in the mining, industrial, and commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair reeling, trailing, and flexible cables
  • Test reeling, trailing, and flexible cables
  • Inspect and fit plugs/couplers for reeling, trailing, and flexible cables
  • Verify compliance of repaired reeling, trailing, and flexible cables
  • Examine and maintain plugs in accordance with AS 3800
  • Electrical repairs on workshop equipment where necessary
  • Fitment of cables to pumps and equipment
  • Site works where required. Termination of cable, Fault finding and assistance to our Field service team
  • Ensure the operations are complying with Ampcontrol policies and statutory requirements
  • Ensure engagement and compliance in all Safety, Quality, and Environmental systems and practices
  • Responsible for reasonable time management and ensuring efficiencies are maintained with minimal indirect hours logged
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification, if any
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Proven experience as a Cable Repair Technician or similar role, preferably within the energy sector
  • Strong knowledge of cable types, repair techniques, and diagnostic tools
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to cable installations and repairs
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment
Salary Range:

$70,000 - $80,000 p.a. plus superannuation
