About this role
I-MED Radiology Network is seeking an experienced Nurse Specialist to provide high-quality nursing support and recovery services to our clinics. The successful candidate will work predominately at our Glen Waverley and Camberwell clinics, with occasional movements to other sites as required.
This is a full-time 10-month contract role, working between Monday - Friday. No weekend work
As a Clinical Support Professional, you will report to the Area Nurse Coordinator and work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team. You will assist the Radiologist for interventional procedures, including gaining informed consent and medical history assessment, monitoring baseline observations and recovering patients post procedure.
Key accountabilities include:
- Assist the Radiologist for interventional procedures, including gaining informed consent and medical history assessment, monitoring baseline observations and recovering patients post procedure.
- Interventional Procedures Include: Biopsies, Epidurals, Spinal injections, Lumbar Punctures, Drainages and Pain Management Injections.
- Working collaboratively with Radiologists, Nuclear Medicine Physicians, technical and administrative staff and managers
Key selection criteria:
- Full AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
- Proven acute nursing experience
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and autonomously within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills
Desirable but not essential:
- Previous Experience in Radiology/Surgical/Procedural Nursing
- A current drivers' licence and use of a car -. There will be a requirement to sometimes move between sites during the day. A kilometre allowance is in place to support travel.
