Job Description

Mental Health Clinicians at Activated Concepts lead clinical interventions and strategies for individuals with mental health concerns. They specialise in trauma-informed care, focusing on Victims of Crime, Employee Assistance Programs, and private participants. Practitioners employ a trauma-informed lens, prioritising person-centred approaches when working with clients, their families, and relevant stakeholders.

The primary responsibilities include providing specialist clinical assessments, developing mental health recovery plans and reports to support individuals in living fulfilling lives within their communities.

Clinicians must possess a sound understanding of mental health and work effectively across various age groups to achieve individual client goals while enhancing self-care strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilise trauma-informed and person-centred evidence-based recovery-approach
  • Provide primary consultation services, including initial intake and assessment interviews to develop treatment plans
  • Deliver focused psychological strategies and counselling interventions as outlined in the treatment plan
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and document reports detailing support needs, areas for development, strengths, and current capabilities (subject to funding)
  • Develop, complete, and implement recovery plans to assist clients in achieving psychosocial and functional goals (subject to funding)
  • Offer training and support to other service providers to facilitate implementation of relevant plans
  • Ensure professional and ethical management of the client caseload by maintaining minimum counselling session requirements per annum for full-time clinicians
  • Complete administrative tasks, including case notes, accurately and on time
