Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Art Assistant to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Primary Art Teachers in preparing materials and cleaning up after activities, helping students in the classroom, and overseeing the organization and display of student artwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing for and cleaning up after activities: Assist Primary Art Teachers in preparing materials and ensuring a safe and organized environment.
  • Helping students in the classroom: Support students in the classroom, fostering creativity and promoting inclusivity and respect.
  • Sorting, stacking, displaying and mounting artwork: Oversee the organization and display of student artwork, ensuring it is presented in a visually appealing manner.
  • Photocopying, laminating, photographing artwork: Assist with tasks such as photocopying, laminating, and photographing artwork.
  • Overseeing and collecting deliveries: Be responsible for receiving and distributing materials and supplies.
Requirements
  • Motivation and teamwork: Demonstrate high motivation and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience and skills: Possess experience in handling arts materials and supporting students (desirable).
  • Communication and interpersonal skills: Exhibit high level communication and interpersonal skills, effective in interacting with students, staff, and parents.
  • Health and Safety: Show awareness and adherence to Health and Safety protocols, prioritizing the well-being of students and staff.
  • Administrative and technical skills: Possess good administrative and Microsoft Office 365 skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Commitment to values and ethos: Demonstrate a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education, inspiring students to grow and develop.
