Job Description

As a dedicated Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in people's lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred services across paediatric and adult caseloads.

Utilizing your expertise, you will create real-world solutions that address the unique needs of each individual, while working within an organization that values creativity, collaboration, and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including functional capacity, ADL, sensory, and environmental evaluations.
  • Collaborate closely with participants and their families to establish SMART goals and develop tailored plans.
  • Prepare detailed clinical and risk assessments, focusing on manual handling, mealtime, community access, and home safety.
  • Deliver therapy sessions for skill-building, daily routines, sensory regulation, and carer coaching.
  • Prescribe, trial, and provide training for Assistive Technology (AT) devices.
  • Create and oversee Home Modification scopes, collaborating with builders and other stakeholders.
  • Produce clear, audit-ready clinical notes, AT justifications, FCA reports, and progress updates.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to meet compliance and service standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist (OTBA) with professional indemnity insurance.
  • 1-2 years' experience in community, disability, paediatric, or adult practice, with strong placements for new graduates.
  • Clinical reasoning skills, excellent written communication, and confidence in AT prescription and minor home mods.
  • Strong understanding of NDIS Practice Standards, safeguarding, and documentation requirements.
