Regional Operations Leadership Opportunity

This role requires a seasoned leader to oversee operational management across multiple defence bases in South Australia.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operations management, preferably within the defence sector or a related field.

They must possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

A valid driver's licence is also essential for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver effective leadership and oversight of operational activities across multiple bases.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for SEG staff, ensuring timely and accurate incident notifications.
  • Conduct regional financial reviews to monitor budgets and expenditures.
  • Oversee regular performance reviews to assess operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure all operational activities comply with relevant regulations and safety standards.
  • Provide direction and oversight for all operational activities, ensuring alignment with state/region-wide defence contract objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in leadership or project management are highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in operations management, preferably within the defence sector or a related field.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-site operations.
  • Experience in liaising with government agencies and stakeholders.
