**About the Role**
We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our Data Center Design Engineering team at Amazon. As a key member of this team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing water treatment systems for our global data centers.
In this position, you will be responsible for coordinating with design engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure that our water treatment features meet the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including design vendors, contractors, and local officials, to review concept designs and ensure they meet established design standards, local code requirements, and other regulations.
As part of this role, you will also contribute to the development of design standards, specification, and documentation, as well as provide technical guidance and support to cross-functional teams.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform and oversee project-related work, such as water supply analysis and design for buildings
- Coordinate with utilities and internal water teams to establish basic site infrastructure requirements
- Provide detailed construction specifications for water treatment systems
- Prepare detailed designs for water treatment and sustainability systems
- Oversee and review the work of contractors and engineers
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or equivalent engineering field
- 10+ years of experience in design engineering or construction industry related to water quality and chemical treatment
- Experience applying local codes, International Code Council (ICC) requirements, and other water treatment industry standards, procedures, and methodologies
- Ability to read and understand construction documents for all trades
- Water Quality Association Certified Treatment Designer
