Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert anaesthetic care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Develop and implement effective anaesthetic plans to meet individual patient needs
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs during anaesthesia
  • Administer anaesthetic medications and equipment as required
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse qualification with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing or Anaesthetics (desired but not essential)
  • Proven experience as an Anaesthetic Nurse in a hospital or surgical setting
  • Sound knowledge of anesthesia principles, medications, and equipment
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Current BLS and ALS
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team
  • Strong collaborative interpersonal skills with well-developed verbal and written communication skills
