We are seeking a skilled Orthoptist to join our multidisciplinary team in the Eye Clinic, providing high-quality orthoptic care to outpatients and inpatients.
- This role offers an opportunity to work with adult and paediatric patients, conducting investigations and management of strabismus and ocular motility disorders.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive patient care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality orthoptic care, consistent with policies, procedures, and standards.
- Work effectively with healthcare teams to deliver patient-centric care.
- Conduct thorough investigations and manage adult and paediatric patients with strabismus and ocular motility disorders.
- Support ophthalmic services, including perimetry, OCT, Pentacam, refraction, and ocular Biometry.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor of Applied Science (Orthoptics), Masters in Orthoptics, or equivalent qualification.
- Eligibility for registration with the Orthoptic Board of Australia.
- Experience in investigating and managing adult and paediatric patients with strabismus and ocular motility disorders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
