Model Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Model Engineering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of cutting-edge model-based systems engineering (MBSE) technology.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering and/or technical modeling, with experience in applying skills in a technical environment. Proficiency in digital tools such as Computer Aided Design, simulation, programming, and game design is also essential.

You will work closely with our team to develop workflow processes, solve complex modeling challenges, and apply systems thinking to untangle intricate system deliveries. In addition, you will refine the MBSE platform itself and contribute to team knowledge-sharing and professional development.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a willingness to relocate to Canberra (relocation assistance provided). Additionally, you will need to hold a current Australian Government Security Clearance (NV1 or higher preferred) or be willing to obtain one.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong interest and ability in problem-solving

  • Self-starter and comfortable collaborator
  • Qualifications and/or experience in a STEM discipline (Engineering, programming/IT, technical analysis)
  • 0-5 years' experience in applying skills in a technical environment
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and/or Systems Engineering experience
  • Proficiency working with digital tools (such as Computer Aided Design, simulation, programming, game design)
