Hydrology Leadership Position

This is a key leadership role that requires a technical expert with strong experience in hydrology, drainage, and flood risk management.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead the development of innovative hydrology solutions for major infrastructure projects
- Oversee flood risk assessments, catchment analysis, and stormwater management strategies to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and Austroads guidelines
- Manage the planning, design, and delivery of integrated drainage systems, including culverts, waterways, and flood protection infrastructure
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to multidisciplinary engineering teams to achieve high-quality, sustainable design outcomes
- Review and approve hydrological designs to ensure they meet local authority requirements and environmental impact assessment protocols
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 15 years' experience in hydrology, drainage, and water management for major infrastructure projects in Australia
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent
- Advanced understanding of hydrology and hydraulics modeling techniques would be an advantage
- Experience working on complex projects with state authorities would also be beneficial
