Health, Safety and Environmental Professional

This role is responsible for providing technical support, training and assistance to HSE leaders and operations in the analysis, review and sustainability of HSE projects, initiatives and systems. The successful candidate will be working closely with the Asia Pacific Environment and Sustainability Leader and will provide input into the development of training materials and supporting the conducting of training sessions.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing training and assistance to HSE leaders and operations on internal data incident and training management systems, including Enablon, Census, and MyHR.
  2. Developing and drafting training materials and supporting the conducting of training sessions for new HSE processes and procedures implemented within the region.
  3. Conducting research and investigation projects into specific areas of HSE.
  4. Collaborating with the Meritor HSE team in the region as required.

Requirements include a university degree in Health and Safety or Environmental Management or Sustainability or a health related field and strong organisation and planning skills, proven experience managing competing priorities and coordinating multiple stakeholders and resources. Key competencies include values differences, communicating effectively, courage, optimising work processes, health and safety fundamentals, HSE incident investigation and root cause analysis, HSE management systems and risk assessment.
