About Us:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cleaner to join our team at Uniting AgeWell Sorell. As a Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining the hygiene and presentation of our residence, ensuring that all areas are kept clean and tidy.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will have previous experience cleaning in a large organisation or commercial environment, and will be able to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision. You will be required to ensure that all areas of the residence are kept hygienic and presentable, and to contribute to a comfortable and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all areas of the residence are kept clean and tidy
- Contribute to a comfortable and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors
- Cleaning in line with all chemical and infection control requirements and accreditation standards
- Ensuring resident privacy and dignity is always maintained
- Identify and report maintenance issues for our residents, ensuring they are escalated in a timely manner
About You:
We are looking for someone who is passionate about what they do and wants to make a difference in the lives of our residents. You will be required to demonstrate a high level of kindness and respect for residents' property and privacy, and to have sound knowledge of OH&S procedures, relevant chemicals and safe work practices.
Essentials for Working in Aged Care:
- A current Working With Vulnerable People card
- Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
- Australian working rights
- Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
