Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a portfolio of healthcare provider relationships to secure quality services.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure affordable healthcare solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to execute strategic partnerships and explore new care delivery models.
  • Build strong relationships with GPs, specialists, and peak bodies to address issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the execution of our Healthcare Management strategy, contributing to Bupaoptical's broader goals of growth and transformation.

What We're Looking For:

  • Familiarity with Medical Funding Systems, including the Medicare Benefit Schedule.
  • Understanding of both private and public healthcare systems, along with relevant regulations.
  • 10+ years in healthcare, with a proven track record in negotiating complex, high-value contracts and ongoing contract management.
  • Experience in managing medical practices or healthcare provider networks.
  • Expertise in partnership and alliance negotiations, with the ability to develop strategies and plan for different scenarios.
  • Demonstrated achievements in relevant commercial fields, with a history of delivering results.
  • Skilled at influencing diverse stakeholders and quickly building relationships across complex organizational structures.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business management, health services, or a related field (preferred).
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, and present compelling reports to executives.
  • Capable of working independently, but also an effective collaborator when needed.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to simplify complex processes and provide clear recommendations.
  • Excellent at managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
