Senior OHS Service Officer

At the Department of Education, we are seeking a senior OHS professional to lead our OHS Services Program in schools across Victoria. As a Senior OHS Service Officer, you will provide expert guidance and mentorship to a team of OHS Service Officers, ensuring the delivery of consistent, hands-on service to schools.
Key Responsibilities:- Partner with schools to complete OHS and emergency management planning tasks and provide expert advice to achieve safer schools.
- Reduce the OHS and emergency management workload for schools through proactive partnership and practical solutions, including effective use of digital systems.
- Foster a customer-focused mindset and responsive service approach.
- Role-model exceptional service delivery and build strong relationships with schools, regional offices, contracted external providers, and key stakeholders within the Division.
- Lead by example, champion best practices, and drive continuous improvement in OHS and emergency management processes.
This role reports to the Manager, OHS Services (South Western Victoria Region) and will work closely with counterparts, OHS Service Officers, and other members of the OHS Implementation Services Branch. The role also involves travel across the region to undertake school visits.
