Nurse - Student Health Support

The Department of Education seeks an experienced clinical nurse to support students with specialized health needs. This permanent part-time position (0.5FTE or 38 hours per fortnight) is based across multiple schools with the primary location at Victoria Park State School.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop strategic partnerships with schools, health professionals, and families as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Deliver in-service training scenarios for school staff.
- Support capability building, curriculum planning, resource development, and school improvement initiatives.
- Implement evidence-informed methodologies effectively across state schools in your area.
- Develop emergency health plans to support students in the education setting.
- Consult various stakeholders to enhance professional nursing practices and standards.
- Maintain and build professional networks.
- Collaborate with allied health professionals to increase network capacity.
- Analyze policies, procedures, legislation, codes, and standards to support continuous improvement through the delivery of health services across the state.
- Provide high-level consultation and information to parents, staff, and students.
- Actively participate as a valued team member across multi-disciplinary settings and represent your profession at all times.
- Pay parity in line with the Nurses and Midwives certified agreement.
