At the forefront of market credit risk management, we seek an accomplished expert to lead critical workstreams and guide strategic decision-making. This senior role demands a deep understanding of financial markets, lending terms, and credit monitoring processes.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mind, able to assess financial profiles, build robust databases, and provide insightful analysis to inform counterparty limit recommendations.

This position requires a high level of expertise in financial modeling, statistical research, and effective communication. The successful individual will be a skilled researcher, proficient in extracting relevant data from complex financial statements and ratios.

Strong relationships with key stakeholders are essential, as is the ability to represent the organization on committees and deliver high-level advice to executive management.

As a seasoned professional with a minimum of 5 years' experience in market/counterparty credit processes, you will have a proven track record of success in managing credit risk and providing strategic guidance.

Tertiary qualifications in finance or a related discipline are essential, while a Master's degree or CFA certification is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead critical workstreams within the Market Credit function
  • Assess financial profiles of banks, corporates, government counterparties, and clients
  • Build, manage, and enhance financial databases and spreadsheets
  • Recommend counterparty limits and provide supporting analysis
  • Conduct periodic jurisdictional reviews of market counterparties
  • Monitor counterparty exposures against approved limits
  • Manage market counterparty terms and conditions
  • Provide strategic credit advice on financial provisioning and state credit rating
  • Support client credit reviews, borrowing requests, and capacity assessments
  • Deliver high-level advice to executive management and the Board
