Job Description

Heavy vehicle mechanical apprenticeship is a four-year program that provides hands-on training and theoretical knowledge in the repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles. You will be working alongside experienced tradespeople, assisting in the servicing and repair of refrigerated road transport vehicles.

Throughout this apprenticeship, you will gain a solid understanding of engine systems, transmission systems, fuel systems, brakes, suspension units, ignition systems, and electrical systems. You will also learn safety procedures and participate in roadworthy inspections.

This role requires a mechanically minded individual with good problem-solving skills, a willingness to learn, and strong communication skills. If you have a passion for the trade or experience working on vehicles, then this may be the perfect opportunity for you.

  • Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • Team player with a willingness to listen, learn, and follow instructions

  • Manual Driver's licence and own car

  • Ability to pass a Pre-employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen and Police Clearance
  • Strong attention to detail

Required Skills and Qualifications

For this apprenticeship, we are looking for individuals with a keen interest in the trade, good problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn. If you have gained a Certificate II in Automotive Technology, have some experience working on vehicles, or are passionate about learning this trade, then we would like to hear from you.
