The Role / About the Position

We're seeking an experienced Railway Signalling Engineer to join our team on the Inland Rail Beveridge to Albury Tranche 2 Project. As a key member of our project team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation and commissioning of signalling systems on construction sites.

Your primary responsibility will be to design, install, test, and commission signalling systems in compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and industry regulations. You'll collaborate closely with our project teams, including engineers, contractors, and stakeholders, to ensure seamless integration of signalling systems with other project elements.

You'll also conduct on-site inspections and quality checks to verify proper installation and functioning of signalling equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with specifications. Additionally, you'll monitor project progress, provide regular updates to the project team, and identify any risks or delays, proposing mitigation measures as needed.

Responsibilities of the Role
  • Design, install, test, and commission signalling systems in compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and industry regulations;
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure seamless integration of signalling systems with other project elements;
  • Conduct on-site inspections and quality checks to verify proper installation and functioning of signalling equipment;
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the project team;
  • Identify and propose mitigation measures for any risks or delays;
  • Assist in the preparation and review of project documentation, including signalling designs, test plans, reports, and as-built drawings;
  • Support the project team in resolving technical challenges or issues related to signalling systems;
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field;
  • Demonstrated experience as a Signalling Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry;
  • Strong knowledge of signalling systems, including equipment, control systems, communication protocols, and industry standards;
  • Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in signalling engineering;
  • Understanding of safety regulations, risk management, and quality control procedures related to signalling systems;
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team and stakeholders;
Salary and Benefits

We offer a highly competitive salary package, with a base salary of $120,000 per annum, plus superannuation and salary sacrifice options. You'll also receive generous leave benefits, including 18 weeks paid parental leave with super and up to an extra 18 weeks of super paid on further periods of unpaid parental leave.
