Upper Primary Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Upper Primary Teacher to lead engaging learning programs for students in Years 5-6.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to student growth, wellbeing, and evidence-based teaching practice.
  • A key responsibility of the role will be to deliver high-impact teaching and learning programs aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum.
  • The teacher will also be responsible for leading our Specialist Physical Education program, implementing targeted physical development programs, and coordinating key upper primary experiences.

To be successful in this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights.
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before commencing employment.
  • Obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit.
About the Role

This is a full-time position available for the upcoming school year.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading a range of educational programs and initiatives that promote student engagement and academic success.

The teacher will work closely with students, staff, families, and the wider community to foster strong partnerships and promote cultural responsiveness and relational trust.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning:

  • Deliver high-impact teaching and learning programs for students in Years 5 and 6.
  • Plan and lead our Specialist Physical Education program, including whole-school sports carnivals, incursions, excursions, and coordination of grants and resources.

Program Development:

  • Implement targeted physical development programs, including the Fundamental Movement Skills program, Perceptual Motor Program, and support for whole-school physical wellbeing.
  • Coordinate and lead key upper primary experiences, including the Year 6 Camp, Graduation, and student leadership opportunities.

Inclusive Practice:

  • Embed inclusive, trauma-informed and positive behaviour support practices through a Positive Behaviour Schools framework.
