Key Responsibilities
  • Culinary Expertise: Develop and execute menus that showcase modern Australian and international cuisines, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the culinary team to design and implement new menu items, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Inventory Management: Effectively manage kitchen inventory, procurement of supplies, and minimize waste to maintain optimal efficiency and cost control.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to guarantee seamless service and customer satisfaction.
  • Banquet Menu Creation: Contribute to the development and implementation of set banquet menus for large groups and events.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • Culinary Qualifications: Minimum Diploma in Commercial Cookery.
  • Culinary Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of demonstrated experience in a senior culinary role, preferably within a comparable restaurant.
  • Culinary Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong communication and leadership capabilities, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
