Acoustic strategy plays a crucial role in shaping the built environment. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader, influencing policy and practice across commercial interiors, education, healthcare, and workplace environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advocating for improved regulations and guidelines for acoustic environments in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Developing and delivering whitepapers, research collaborations, and keynote presentations to position the organization as a leader in acoustic design.
  • Partnering with architects, designers, and academic institutions to drive awareness and adoption of best practice acoustics.
  • Benchmarking Australian standards against international frameworks (ISO, BB93, NZ Education) to inform product development and advocacy.
  • Providing expert insights to guide marketing, sales, and product development teams.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Acoustics Engineering.
  • A proven track record engaging with governmental bodies and technical committees to shape acoustic regulations.
  • Experience with international standards development (ISO, BB93, EU frameworks).
  • Previous experience in sales, marketing, or product management in building products, interiors, or construction.
  • Strong communication skills – able to translate complex acoustics into practical solutions.
  • Thought leadership – someone who is a go-to expert, equally comfortable writing technical papers or presenting on stage.
