We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the efficient flow of goods and materials across the business, ensuring accurate inventory records and timely delivery of stock. You will play a key role in maintaining supplier relationships, processing orders, and supporting production needs.
About the Role:
The Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator will take the lead in ensuring efficient stock management, from purchasing through to receipting and distribution. This includes managing incoming and outgoing stock, including unloading, receipting, storage, and distribution. The successful candidate will also maintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies. Additionally, they will create and monitor purchase orders for stock and non-stock items, liaise with suppliers to manage delivery timelines and resolve issues, and ensure store areas follow 5S principles and maintain high housekeeping standards.
About You:
To thrive in this role, you should have previous experience in stores, inventory, or purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Familiarity with Oracle or similar inventory/purchasing systems is essential. Strong communication and organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and high attention to detail are also required. A proactive mindset, ability to work independently, and a strong work ethic are necessary for success in this position. A forklift license and current driver's license are desirable but not essential.
