About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned professional to drive business growth and foster strong community relationships in NSW Central Coast as our Local General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a strategic community engagement plan, analysing data to understand community demographics, sentiment drivers, and competitive dynamics.
  • Execute local engagement plans to acquire and retain customers, improve brand reputation, and make positive connections within the community.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local government, businesses, and community groups, supporting community initiatives and disaster responses.
  • Supervise campaign budgets, aligning investments with local opportunities, and embody the Optus Values and Vision.
  • Encourage and empower Optus colleagues to become local community champions, promoting an inclusive culture.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Relevant professional qualifications in business or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in large multichannel sales organisations, with exposure to sales, delivery, or operational leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in people leadership, working with government, community groups, and NFPs, alongside Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to sequence and implement sophisticated initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage with all organisational levels, demonstrating team orientation and influencing capabilities.
