Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical / Instrument Technician to maintain water and wastewater treatment infrastructure. This role will support safety, asset reliability, and operational capacity.

This position involves technical assessments of electrical and instrumentation assets, performing maintenance and inspections for safety and reliability, diagnosing complex control systems and equipment, and providing technical guidance to colleagues.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct technical assessments of electrical and instrumentation assets to ensure their safe and efficient operation.
  2. Support the principal electrician with administrative tasks, including record-keeping and documentation.
  3. Perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent equipment failures and ensure reliability.
  4. Detect and diagnose complex issues in control systems and equipment.
  5. Provide technical guidance and training to colleagues to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Educated to Certificate III (AQF 3) or above in an electrical trade qualification.
  • Proficient in computer literacy and understanding of telemetry systems.
  • Hold Confined Space Certification (or be able to obtain it).
  • Immunized against Hepatitis A, B, and Tetanus (or be able to obtain this certification).
  • Possess a current White Card.
  • Demonstrate strong safety awareness and interpersonal skills.
  • Hold a valid 'C' class driver's license.
