About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Communications Manager to join our Australia Retail team. As a key business partner, you'll develop and implement communication strategies and plans to support the delivery of our overall Retail Bank Divisional strategy.

You'll work closely with our Managing Directors and extended Retail Communications team to lead the delivery of internal communications and external communications for our portfolios. Your focus will be on driving clarity on our vision, goals, and objectives through crafting compelling messages for the right channels.

As a curious and self-motivated individual, you'll stay up-to-date with external insights, best practices, and emerging ideas from the communications and finance/banking sectors. You'll lead the delivery of initiatives and internal events that drive employee engagement, build leadership capability, and embed our divisional strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement communication strategies and plans for Australia Retail.
  • Collaborate with Retail Communications to ensure alignment in divisional and enterprise-wide communications.
  • Work with Media Relations and Public Relations on reactive media responses and proactive opportunities, as required.
  • Aid in the delivery of regular divisional and leadership communication, including team webcasts, roadshows, big calls, townhalls, and developing leaders' activity and content for ANZ channels.
  • Develop and execute change communication to support divisional priorities.
  • Develop Senior Leadership briefing material and speaking notes to deliver communications, focusing on embedding strategy and creating clarity on goals and objectives.
  • Assist with planning, organizing, and executing internal events for the portfolios.
  • Support and contribute to Australia Retail's key priorities when required.
  • Support strategic divisional programs and initiatives communications when required.
What We're Looking For

We're seeking a proactive communications expert with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, able to collaborate and influence at executive and senior leadership levels. You'll have the ability to work under time pressure in a dynamic and evolving context while navigating ambiguity.

You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality engagement activities, including face-to-face and virtual conferences and events for senior leaders. Your project management skills will enable you to produce, consult, and follow through on significant communications plans and strategies.
