Mechanical Engineer for Data Centers

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of data centers. You will work with vendors to review designs, act as a resident engineer during new data center construction projects, troubleshoot equipment failures, and provide technical support to design teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review designs for new data centers and incorporate AWS products to ensure they meet expectations
  • Act as a resident engineer during new data center construction projects, supporting construction, commissioning, and handover
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and create corrective action documentation
  • Provide technical support to design teams on existing data center upgrades and design solutions
  • Support operational issues with ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, and event support

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience with industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities, including data centers, power generation, and oil/gas facilities
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, attention to detail, and high quality standards
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents
