About the Role:
This fixed-term, full-time position requires a qualified lawyer with experience working on transactional matters, preferably with a focus on project finance and procurement activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing high-quality legal support to RWE's renewables business in Australia and Europe, focusing on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating project documentation, including land access agreements, consultancy contracts, construction contracts, and supply agreements.
- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with project development and construction, including property, planning, and contracting issues.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for financial close on new projects and transactions.
Requirements:
- Australian legal qualifications and registration to practice in an Australian state.
- Proven organizational, analytical, commercial, and standardization skills.
- Excellent command of English language, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Ability to work flexibly and accurately under pressure, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with experience working in a team environment and building effective relationships with colleagues and external partners.
- Familiarity with front-to-end contracting processes and passion for continuous improvement.
