The Academic Educator – Early Childhood will interact with students and work in a team reporting to the Academic Course Manager.
You will be working with a team of teachers responsible for the development and delivery of the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education.
This involves the preparation, delivery, assessment, and review of dynamic, high-quality on-campus teaching.
About You:
A Masters or higher qualification in education with early childhood as a specialty, or high-level industry experience equivalent to a Masters qualification is essential.
Experience in planning and researching for the preparation of programs and learning materials, including the ability to research, select, and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools that would ensure a successful program.
Current and sound knowledge of the broad Australian early childhood industry.
Demonstrated extensive experience in at least one and preferably more than one sector of the Australian early childhood industry.
Demonstrated ability or the capacity to work and provide support and advice to students and BHI employees of diverse cultures, backgrounds, and abilities, including effective communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills relevant to a learning environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in using learning management systems (i.e. Moodle) to create innovative and engaging learning experiences for students.
Motivate and guide students to optimise their learning outcomes.
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
