About this role:

This position will require strong technical leadership on a wide range of geotechnical projects including earthworks, foundation, and retaining wall design, 2D and 3D settlement analysis, assessment of soft and compressible soils, deep excavations, and temporary works.

The role will include a significant relationship development component including fostering existing relationships, expansion of our client base, and exploring new market opportunities.

You will be expected to provide support and mentoring to junior staff.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about geology and geotechnical engineering, self-driven, and motivated with a positive attitude.

We require a professional with a BE (Civil), ME, or MEngSc degree and Chartered membership of Engineers Australia (CPEng) and current registration with the Board of Professional Engineers in Queensland (RPEQ).

  • At least 10 years of geotechnical consulting experience, ideally in Brisbane and Queensland.
  • Experience in design and management of complex ground investigations.
  • Experience in geotechnical design including earthworks, deep foundations, basement excavations, settlement assessments, retaining systems, and temporary works.
  • Excellent interpretative report writing skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of current guidelines, technical standards, legislation, and codes of practice relevant to Geotechnical Engineering in Queensland and Australia.
