Creative Project Manager Job Summary:

As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our creative projects from conception to completion. This dynamic and innovative individual will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to develop and execute cutting-edge content that resonates with audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Account & Project Management:
  • Develop comprehensive brief documents in collaboration with our team and clients
  • Scope briefs and quotes together with the agency lead and group teams
  • Draft and refine scope of work documentation in consultation with clients and the team
  • Launch new projects by aligning everyone on project roles, objectives, KPIs, milestones, budget, deliverables, and next steps
  • Lead client communications, internal team, and freelancer network coordination
  • Coordinate billing and payment requests between suppliers and our finance team
  • Supervise deliverables from internal/external teams, enforcing high-quality standards
  • Manage expectations and keep clients informed through regular updates
  • Mitigate risk by addressing challenging conversations for swift and fair resolution
  • Survey performance against project KPIs and compile reporting documentation
  • Provide exceptional customer service at every client touchpoint
Content Production:
  • Develop content strategy and ideation (e.g., shot lists, video treatments, logistics, production feasibility)
  • Support development of creative documents (e.g., proposals, execution plans)
  • Negotiate talent fees and contracting with meticulous attention to detail
  • Monitor project budgets, including external/material costs and team hours
  • Pre-production planning (securing crew, permits, and run sheets)
  • On-ground production, providing direction to talent and freelancers
  • Act as main point of contact for revision rounds between client and creator
  • Oversee post-production and delivery of predominantly social or digital content outputs
Admin & Internal:
  • Assist in organizing workload via weekly resource planning meetings
  • Stay updated on platform changes for cutting-edge content
  • Keep abreast of cultural and social trends
  • Collaborate with the agency lead to refine internal processes
  • Provide general assistance to the team, perform ad-hoc tasks enthusiastically
Requirements:
  1. 3+ years integrated marketing/comms agency experience, with a reputation as a team player
  2. Will to travel as needed (occasional interstate shoots)
  3. Proven history of managing and building rapport with clients and stakeholders
  4. Resilience and positive solutions-focused mindset – clarity in chaos
  5. Proactive and self-motivated nature – initiative and eagerness
  6. Ability to navigate difficult conversations and resolve issues efficiently
  7. Superior time management and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  8. Confidence interacting well with people on a personal and professional level
  9. Experience working with government agencies and departments is highly favorable
  10. Brownie points for Adobe Creative Cloud or video editing experience (not required)
  11. Permanent location in Darwin or willingness to relocate for the position
