About the roleThis key position involves delivering strategic analysis and insights to inform decision-making across the organisation's market-facing functions.
Your key responsibilities- Developing and refining market models – Collaborate with the team to improve our market modelling and forecasting capabilities.
- Data management, reporting, and visualisation – Work with the team to enhance the organisation, interpretation, and presentation of market data from various sources.
- Project due diligence – Partner with internal stakeholders and external advisors to conduct thorough evaluations of prospective investments and provide regular valuations of existing assets & contracts.
- Scenario planning and analysis – Support the team in developing alternative views of the energy transition pathway through gathering expert energy market knowledge.
You must possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years' experience in the Australian energy market, with exposure to wholesale markets, renewable energy, energy retailing, financial markets, or trading systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and models to generate actionable insights.
