About the Opportunity

This permanent role in a long-term partnership contract offers an exciting career growth opportunity for an experienced High Voltage Electrical Estimator to specialise in Substations and Renewable Energy Projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Review tender documents and coordinate approval processes, participating in relevant internal meetings.
  • Understand cost drivers and basis of estimate by reading and analysing request for tender and contract documents.
  • Drive information gathering using budgets, historical data, past estimates, and subject matter experts to build up cost estimates.
  • Consult with the Commercial Team on alternative pricing strategies and tendering approaches to drive higher success rates.
  • Create cashflow from cost estimates and workshop alternate strategies with the commercial team and finance to improve cashflow.
  • Participate in Risk and Opportunity identification and workshops, leading discussions regarding risk and opportunities through estimating or quoting processes.
  • Hand-over successful tenders to Operations and Supporting teams by preparing basis of estimate and cost summaries.

About You
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering or technical area preferred.
  • Proven project experience with Substation construction or High Voltage projects.
  • Collaborative colleague able to work in diverse teams focusing on developing best practice.
  • Experience using CATS or Expert Estimator software.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of Client policies and procedures.
Salary:

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum based on location and experience.
