About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Tasmania, specializing in Transmission Line Design. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing transmission line structures, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop transmission line structures, including lattice towers, poles, and gantries
  • Develop conductor loads and attachment point loads for transmission and substation structures
  • Analyze lattice tower, pole, and gantry structures using computer design packages
  • Design and detail lattice tower member connections and foundations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • At least 10 years of experience in structural design work, with a focus on transmission line and substation design
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 7000, AS 4100, AS 3600, and AS 3995
  • Proficiency in computer design packages, such as PLS Tower and PLS Pole
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
