Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our learning and capability programs.

The successful candidate will have experience leading a team in a fast-paced, complex organisation and will possess expertise in learning and capability strategy, design, delivery, and evaluation.

They will be responsible for maintaining and implementing our capability framework, developing and implementing the SES and whole of agency Performance Framework, and designing and implementing a skills taxonomy aligned to our job family framework.

The role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and a deep understanding of performance frameworks and talent development models.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience leading a learning and development team or similar role in a fast-paced and large complex people-centred organisation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in learning and capability strategy, design, delivery and evaluation.
  • Experience managing learning systems, mandatory training programs and enterprise capability frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of performance frameworks and talent development models, including the 70:20:10 model and how to operationalise it in a hybrid learning environment.
