Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various quantity surveying functions, including estimating, planning and cost management, cost monitoring, and accurate and timely financial reporting. This role will require strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Liaising with clients, architects and main contractors to ensure effective project delivery
  • Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of project costs and progress
  • Providing regular financial reports to stakeholders, including clients and management
  • Evaluating tenders and contracts to ensure best value for our clients
  • Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers and partners
  • Managing cash flow and procurement processes to optimize project efficiency
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction
  • Experience in cost estimating and planning software, including Cost X
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
