Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading specialist engineering and consulting firm in the mining, resources, and government sectors.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for catchment and water balance modelling, hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, water monitoring data interpretation and analysis, development of environmental/water monitoring and management plans, environmental reporting and assessments, environmental auditing, and interpretation and application of guidelines, legislation, and policy relating to water management.

You will also be involved in project management, client liaison, mentoring of graduate/junior staff, and some travel and site work may be required intermittently.

Requirements:
  • Possess a relevant qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or similar
  • Have 3+ years' experience in a similar position, providing advice to the mining, construction, energy, industrial processing, or public sectors
  • Be a highly motivated self-starter who is able to prioritise tasks, work autonomously and contribute to a positive team culture
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Have prior experience in environmental data analysis and hydrological/hydraulic modelling
