Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Portfolio Leader to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our national portfolio.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead a dedicated team of property accountants and collaborate with senior leaders to deliver actionable insights that drive asset performance and strategic outcomes.

This is a challenging commercial position, requiring expertise in managing all financial processes tied to the property portfolio, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support a team, providing leadership, direction, and professional development
  • Oversee financial management activities, P&L oversight, forecasting, and variance analysis for a retail property portfolio
  • Deliver high-quality reporting and financial insights to inform asset strategy, leasing decisions, and performance reviews
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to shape commercial outcomes and drive business growth
  • Implement system improvements and upgrades, leveraging MRI software to extract, interpret, and optimise data
  • Contribute to process optimisation and financial best practice across the broader team
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • CA or CPA qualification, with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
  • Demonstrated success in a commercial property finance role, with retail asset experience essential
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience managing finance teams or mentoring junior staff
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders
  • Advanced skills in MRI software, with expertise in extracting, interpreting, and optimising data
  • A proactive mindset, with a strong eye for process improvement and detail
