Job Title: Community Engagement Specialist

The Community Engagement Specialist plays a pivotal role in fostering connections between the National Gallery and diverse audiences across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support education and lifelong learning initiatives for adults, children, families, young people, students, and teachers.
  • Develop and deliver engaging programs onsite, online, and offsite to reach national audiences with the National Collection and artistic program.
  • Collaborate with the Learning Team to produce events such as the biennial National Visual Art Education Conference.
  • Provide programming and production support to other Learning Team programs as required.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Capacity to develop and implement engaging educational programs.
  • Familiarity with the National Collection and artistic program.

Working Arrangements:

  • This is a full-time position.
  • Work will be performed primarily at the National Gallery in Canberra, with occasional travel across Australia.
