The Position:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to support our fleet maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe and reliable fleet through regular servicing and maintenance.
- Perform general services, including oil, filter, and brake changes.
- Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are fulfilled.
- Diagnose and repair buses to the highest safety standard.
- Test drive vehicles to diagnose malfunctions.
- Carry out minor to major engine repairs.
Essential Criteria:
- Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent trade qualification.
- Completed a 4-year apprenticeship.
- Experience working with trucks or buses.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- High regard for safety.
- Ability to handle pressure.
- Current MR or HR licence (not essential).
