We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team in the Sutherland area.

Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older members of our community.

About the Role
  • As a Care Worker, you will provide domestic assistance, meal preparation, social support, and personal care to our customers.
  • You will work independently, finding solutions to everyday problems and collaborating with your Manager when needed.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Domestic Assistance: Ensure the homes of our customers are safe and comfortable places to live.
  2. Meal Preparation and Shopping: Assist with grocery shopping and prepare meals to meet the dietary needs of our customers.
  3. Social Support and Transport: Provide companionship and transport to lifestyle activities, appointments, and other engagements.
  4. Personal Care: Assist with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, medication management, and mobility assistance.
  5. Respite and Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and respite to our customers and their families.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a care or support worker role, including personal care.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle (travel is part of the role).
  • The ability to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy principles.
